The initiative is being led by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), in partnership with the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (HLC) acting under Executive Order 623 and Section 121 and 122 of the Affordable Homes Act. Below is information regarding the variety of development opportunities resulting from this work.
Opportunity for Public Comment
Municipalities, development teams, and community members are invited to comment on HLC's draft regulations governing municipal regulations on state surplus land disposed for housing development through the process established by the Affordable Homes Act. Written comments on the proposed regulation may be submitted to EOHLCRegulationComments@mass.gov, no later than 11:59 pm on April 13, 2026, with “Comments on 760 CMR 77” in the subject line.
