Complete and submit the Request to Increase Single Class of Work Limit form.
If your firm anticipates it may receive a single class of work limit increase greater than its current single bond limit or aggregate bonding capacity, include with this request a current surety letter from a surety company licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and whose name appears on the United States Treasury Department Circular 570 stating the firm’s aggregate bonding capacity and single bond limit. A Power-of-Attorney or Attorney-in-Fact must be attached to the letter.
More Information for Submit a Request to Increase Single Class of Work Limit
- Unless otherwise approved by the Prequalification Committee, a Request to Increase Single Class Work Limit must be submitted at least 21 calendar days prior to a bid opening in order to receive consideration for that bid opening, per 700 CMR 14.03(4)(d).
- The Request to Increase Single Class of Work Limit requires a completed project verification form emailed directly to the Prequalification Program from the Owner’s Rep. before the request can be placed on the Prequalification Committee Meeting Agenda.
- Upon the Prequalification Committee’s review of your request, your firm will receive by email a revised prequalification certificate indicating the increased single class work limit. The revised prequalification certificate expires on the same date as the previously issued prequalification certificate.
