National Work Zone Awareness Week Billboard Design Contest

Attention all aspiring graphic designers! National Work Zone Awareness Week 2026 will take place on April 20th-24th. The theme for NWZAW 2026 is "Safe Actions Save Lives." MassDOT is hosting a billboard design contest to promote work zone safety and driver awareness throughout 2026.

Submission guidelines 

This contest is open to all students who are currently enrolled in Massachusetts colleges.  All entries must meet design specifications and are due April 17, 2026.

Contest prizes 

The winning designs will be selected based on creativity, impact, and relevance to the NWZAW theme.  Your design could be displayed on a digital billboard!
