MAVRIC: Massachusetts Vital Records Information Collaborative

MAVRIC is the new state system for the processing of birth, death, marriage, divorce, fetal death and other vital events.

The Massachusetts Registry of Vital Records and Statistics is responsible for recording the Commonwealth’s vital events and providing mission-critical information to researchers, communities, and state and federal agencies.

MAVRIC (Massachusetts Vital Records Information Collaborative) is the state’s new, modernized system for processing vital events. For our authorized registration and data partners, MAVRIC offers more streamlined processes, enhanced functionality, and reduced paper-workflows. MAVRIC is replacing the existing Vitals Information Partnership (VIP) system.

The MAVRIC system launch date will occur later than the originally announced April timeframe, while the system undergoes comprehensive ADA accessibility testing and improvements. Preparations and training continue and updates will be forthcoming.

PLEASE NOTE: To be able to use MAVRIC, partners must enroll in TRAIN Massachusetts, the state’s e-learning platform.

Registration and data partners are asked to check back here for MAVRIC updates and training schedules.
