Julia's journey is one of passion, dedication, and a deep commitment to storytelling. As a Public Affairs Specialist with the 102d Intelligence Wing at Otis Air National Guard Base, Cape Cod, she brings her talents to the forefront, utilizing various mediums such as photography, videography, writing, social media, graphic design, and public affairs to craft compelling narratives.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Public Relations from Suffolk University in Boston, Julia joined the Air Force, eager to embark on a career that would allow her to share the stories of her fellow airmen. Her time at the Department of Defense Information School further honed her skills, preparing her to effectively communicate the experiences and achievements of those she serves alongside.

For Julia, storytelling is more than just a profession—it's a calling. She believes that to truly tell an airman's story, one must be willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with them, experiencing their journey firsthand. Proudly serving in the Guard alongside her youngest sister, A1C Laura-Kate Ahaesy, and her parents, Brig Gen Lisa Ahaesy and CMSgt Dan Ahaesy, Julia embodies the values of service, camaraderie, and family.

Julia's unwavering dedication to her craft and commitment to serving her country makes her a valuable asset to the 102d Intelligence Wing. Her ability to capture the essence of the Air National Guard and its members through her storytelling ensures that their voices are heard and their contributions celebrated
