Jooyi's career journey is marked by a steadfast commitment to service and support for veterans. Graduating from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, she embarked on a dynamic career with her first duty station aboard a large Coast Guard ship in Honolulu, HI. Throughout her service, Jooyi undertook diverse responsibilities, including law enforcement, search and rescue missions, and community relations across the Bering Sea, Pacific Islands, and South & Central America.

After retiring from the Coast Guard, Jooyi continued her dedication to serving others by working as an Employment Coordinator with the VA Boston Veteran Readiness & Employment Program. In this role, she assists veterans in transitioning to civilian employment, drawing upon her extensive experience and knowledge gained during her military career.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Jooyi remains actively engaged in supporting future generations of service members. She serves as a longtime member of the 9th Congressional District Service Academy Nomination Committee and as a Coast Guard Academy Admissions Partner. Jooyi's unwavering commitment to service, both during her military career and in her civilian roles, embodies the spirit of dedication and compassion towards veterans and their families.
