U.S. Marine Corps

Christina Wargin

Rank:  E-4 Corporal
MOS:  Aviation Maintenance Administration
Years of Service:  2006 - 2009

Christina's journey is one of service, sacrifice, and resilience. Starting as an admin clerk at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, she demonstrated her dedication to duty even while pursuing her career as a registered pharmacist in California. While on active duty, Christina worked per diem for CVS on weekends, showcasing her commitment to both her military service and her profession.

Currently, Christina serves as a Clinical Pharmacist for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, where she continues her mission of serving others. Her work ensures that veterans receive the vital care and medication they need to live healthy lives.

However, Christina's story is also marked by profound loss. As a Gold Star sister, she carries the memory of her older brother, LCpl Dimitrios Gavriel, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Iraq during Operation Phantom Fury. Dimitrios, a former securities analyst on Wall Street, enlisted in the Marines after the tragic events 9/11, driven by a deep sense of duty and honor.

Through her service and her brother's legacy, Christina embodies the values of courage, selflessness, and dedication. Her commitment to honoring her brother's memory while continuing to serve her country and her community is a testament to her strength and resilience.
