Effective April 7, 2005, camping fees at MA Department of Conservation and Recreation campgrounds are:

Coastal category campgrounds include Nickerson State Park, Scusset Beach State Reservation, Horseneck Beach State Reservation, and Salisbury Beach State Reservation. PLEASE NOTE: there are no individual campsite fireplaces at Scusset Beach. Customers must use a man-made fuel grill at this campground. |

Types of MA State Park Campgrounds
Established Campgrounds (Coastal or Inland fee categories)
These campgrounds offer flush toilets, showers, staffing, and departmental programs. Some may offer electric or water hookups, dumping stations, or yurts and cabins. Individual campsites will be
designated and include a high-use parking area and table, grill and/or fire ring. Campgrounds offer access to a public telephone. Camp store or other developed amenities may be available.
Limited Service campground (Limited Service fee category)
These campgrounds offer toilets and all but island campgrounds have access to drinking water. Some use self-registration and park staff may be off-site. Individual campsites are designated (except on some islands) and generally include individual tables, grills or fire rings. All but island campgrounds offer access to public telephone. Departmental programs may be available.
Reservation Transaction Charge
Effective January 4, 2007, the transaction charge for making a camping reservation is $9.25 per transaction. The charge is non-refundable. Click here for more information regarding the reservation transaction charge
