Bar Exam Security Policy

What to bring

Applicants may bring into the examination room one clear plastic food storage type bag (maximum size: one gallon) which may contain:

Picture identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.)	Wallet
Hygiene Products	Keys
Pens, #2 Pencils, Erasers	Lunch
Spill proof water in plastic bottle (may be carried separately)	Earplugs
Medication(s)	Tissues

What Not to bring

The following items are strictly prohibited and will not be permitted in the room:

•	Any Personal Electronic Device (PEDs), cell phones, Blackberries, etc., pagers, hand-held computers, personal digital assistants, wireless e-mail devices, cameras, radios, tape recorders and calculators are not permitted in the examination room at any time.
•	Handbags, purses, backpacks, briefcases, tote bags, luggage, etc.
•	Notes, books, Bar Review or other study materials in any format or media
•	Head covering of any kind (hats, caps, hoods, etc.)
•	Headphones or headsets
•	Weapons of any kind
•	Scrap Paper
•	Highlighters
•	Any other items not specifically allowed

Do not bring any of the above items with you to the examination site, as they will not be permitted into the room. There are no facilities in which to store them. It is against both fire and security codes in most buildings to leave such items on the floor, in the aisles, or in corridors of the buildings, and unattended items will likely be confiscated by security.

The Board will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any personal property, so we recommend that any such item be left at home, in your hotel room or in your car.

Behavior

The following behavior(s) is strictly prohibited at the test site and will not be permitted:

Using any test aids
Using any type of device to share or exchange information
Giving or receiving assistance or having conversation
Looking at another examinee’s answers
Removing any test materials
Creating a disturbance or distraction of any kind

REMEMBER -- CELL PHONES and PEDs ARE PROHIBITED (The possession of any kind of personal electronic device, cellular phone, Blackberry, etc. may have a negative impact on your results.)
